Farah Al Souri

Farah Al Souri is a Program Officer working with the Alliance’s Program Management and Administration Team. Farah manages relationships between awardees and the Alliance’s different units, develops and oversees various funding programs, and facilitates the implementation of agreements, policies, and regulations in compliance with government’s funding guidelines. She plays a pivotal role in liaising with the DRI community, including grant recipients, experts, and partner organizations. Farah is bilingual fluent in English and Arabic. 

Farah brings over a decade of professional and academic experience in the Middle East and North Africa. As a founding staff member of the Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS), a regional, independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing social science research and knowledge production in the region, Farah established the Grants and Fellowships unit offering various research and fellowship programs across 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. 

Holding an MA in Public Policy and International Affairs along with an MBA, her research interests encompass the United Nations, International law, decolonial knowledge, and research methods for Indigenous Peoples. Outside her professional endeavors, Farah enjoys the summer months and relishes exploring Canada's lakes through stand-up paddling adventures with her partner and their fur baby 'Buddy’.
